Here's a look at what's been happening since the last news release.

 

Rules, Regulations, and Design Guidelines:

 

This process has been a lengthy one where the committee read, spoke to residents and listened to their many concerns leading them to a rewrite for several of the original sections which will serve to better benefit the Community. The new document is now complete and has been sent to our legal team for review. This review will ensure that we are in compliance with all of the HOA laws of South Carolina. Once this review is complete, these documents will be distributed to all residents.

 

Many thanks to the committee members who spent many hours on this project to bring it to a successful fruition.

 

Quality Lakes Study – Study has been completed and we have received the report on our lagoons. A suggested course of action has been identified for each lagoon. The board has asked for Quality Lakes to provide approximate costs to implement the suggestions. Full report can be found HERE.

Financial Audit/Update – Latest May Financial report shows we are in good standing and tracking to budget.  The 2021 Budget Planning meeting will be held in July. All current vendors/contractors are being asked to provide pricing for next year. Our Capital Reserves look strong heading into the second half of the year. Gate income stands at $19,085 YTD.

 

The recently completed independent financial audit for 2019 reported the Baynard Park POA was in good standing and reported no abnormalities, fraud, or deficiencies in internal controls.

 

Entrance Fountain – Fountain has been installed and successfully tested and is up and running.

 

Dominion Gas - All legal documents have been signed and approved for this project to begin. Chris Goodman will be leading this project and will provide periodic updates as we proceed.

 

Board Meetings – Public board meetings have been suspended due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Meetings will be rescheduled as soon as its legally safe to do so. Regular board meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Thursday of each month starting at 6:00pm. All public meetings are held at the Buckwalter Recreation Center.

Your 3rd quarter HOA dues are due on July 1st, 2020. Please contact the ASM office if you need any information on details regarding payments.

 

Island West Re-Zoning
